getting-up – a self-portray.
Exhibition at the FREIRAUM at the Arts and Crafts Museum, Hamburg / Germany
From April 25th until May 26th 2002, the artists of getting-up will show their works at the so called “FREIRAUM” at the Arts and Crafts Museum in Hamburg.
This rare occasion will also be an opportunity to reach an audience that normally would not dare to go to a Graffiti exhibition or that does not even know that the issue has been existing for several years now in its various ways.
This promotion of their public image allows Tasek, Daddy Cool, Stohead and Daim to show their critical fellow citizens as well as all art and graffiti lovers their daily business. For this reason, a 3,50m x 11,50 m measuring wall will be created with typical motifs and issues in the museum itself. This temporary mural exemplifies the countless team works with artists from all over the world and also shows how the different styles create an interesting overall picture. Selected canvases of the four artists may not be missing as they most impressingly show the different languages that the artists developed throughout the years.
The exhibition is completed by a video projection that shows scenes of the different Graffiti projects in Hamburg and the world from the past years.
