WE ❤ 8BIT – Art Show Hamburg 2013
Who doesn’t like to remember the computers and game consoles we played with when we were young? Naming C64, NES or Mastersystem, many of us think about our first steps in the digital world. These first roughly pixelated games demanded a lot of phantasy and endurance, but this is exactly the point that is still fascinating for us today.
„WE ❤ 8BIT“ is a group exhibition. Artists from different Art- and Designbackgrounds will be exhibiting. The fields go from fine Arts, illustration and object art to graphic design and typography. The shown works are dedicated to the machines and characters of our gaming-childhood in the 80ies and 90ies.
You can see „WE ❤ 8BIT” at ISLAND near the main station in Hamburg (vis-á-vis the Deichtorhallen). The exhibition will be for free the days following the vernissage.”
